Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) announced Thursday that a senior leader best known for claiming responsibility for the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris was killed in a U.S. drone strike recently. His eldest son was also among those killed.
The group announced the news in an 11-minute Arabic-language video posted to file-sharing websites.
