ITALY-FLASH MOB FOR TUNIS VICTIMS
MAYOR OF ROME: WE ARE NOT AFRAID!
USPA NEWS -
Mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino and Tunisian Ambassador Naceur Mestiri on Friday took part in a flash mob organized by city hall to commemorate the victims of Wednesday's Islamic terrorist massacre of tourists at the Bardo Nuseum in Tunis.
Participants including several city council members observed a minute of silence then sat on the ground outside city hall - in remembrance of the tourists as they were being held hostage by gunmen - holding signs that read 'Peace', 'Democracy' and 'Freedom'.
"The city of Rome thought it appropriate to take a moment to say we are not afraid," the center-left mayor said. "It is important for our capital to on the one hand remember what happened and on the other declare with much clarity and determination, that this war will not be won by these cowards (who attack defenceless people) but by us, who represent civilization".

"The terrorists wanted to strike out at democracy, because they wanted to target parliament, culture and tourism," said the ambassador.
"Citizens who came from all over the world to visit our country fell victim to a barbaric terrorism".
