USPA NEWS - Sacrifice of Pakistan Armed Forces Honoured & Commemorated at UK Parliament 
The Pakistan National Defence Day 6th September, was held at the House of Lords in United Kingdom, Parliament this week. The event was to honour the sacrifice of the Pakistan armed forces for their motherland Pakistan. This memorial tribute was organised by Shazada Hayat President UICF (UK) and international community welfare campaigner.

Dignitaries and distinguished personalities of the Pakistani community travelled from various parts of the UK, to attend the National Defence Day of Pakistan in UK Parliament. In attendance at the UK Parliament to observe and honour the Pakistan National Defence Day were lords, baronesses, members of UK Parliament, former Pakistan Senator general, the Attorney General of Pakistan UK, Commonwealth entrepreneur club, UK Pakistan lawyer’s, community, religious and business leaders. The distinguish guests joined members of the UK Pakistan community to pay tribute to the Pakistan armed forces and their huge sacrifice for their nation.
Lord Qurban Hussein, Baroness Nosheena Mobarik and member of Parliament and former shadow leader of the House Afzal Khan MP, all paid their respect and tribute to remind the packed room of the monumental sacrifice given by our forefathers in the First and Second World War and then the creation of Pakistan and in defence of Pakistan.

Also, in attendance was chief guest Former Senator Abdul Qayyum who is the current President of the Pakistan Ex-serviceman Society. President General Abdul Qayyum, in addressing the illustrious gathering at the House of Lords UK Parliament said, “Pakistan is a strong country of two hundred and forty million people who all stand with their armed forces, which are second to none in their valour, combat, worthiness commitment to national cause of guarding the country's territorial integrity sovereignty and political independence.”
Shazada Hayat, who arranged and conducted the special memorial tribute event at the UK Parliament, in honour of the sacrifice given by the Pakistan armed forces, said, the paramount sacrifice by our forefathers for world order firstly in the First World War and then subsequently in the Second World War have been beyond comprehension this sacrifice, Britain.

This huge sacrifice, for Britain the British public and the British Pakistani members of the community cannot and will not forget. Many of our forefathers, laid down their lives in defending Britain in the First and second World War such as my late great father, who gave the best part of his life in defending Britain in the Second World War and for the creation of an independent Pakistan.
The overseas Pakistani community cannot and will not forget the huge sacrifice given in the creation of Pakistan.

The patriotic people in Pakistan and the overseas Pakistani members of the community will remember and honour the brave soldiers of Pakistan who sacrificed their yesterday for our today. We the British Pakistani community, with pride and patriotism, all over the UK, commemorate the National Defence Day of Pakistan. We will forever remember the huge debt of those who laid down their lives for their motherland Pakistan, with honour utmost pride and patriotism. We salute the sacrifice of those great sons of the soil, with utmost pride and patriotism, said Shazada Hayat.
